  • Breaking the Vicious Cycle: Intestinal Health Through Diet, by Elaine Gottschall, B.A., M.Sc. The sourcebook for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD). Gottschall’s work is rightly considered a breakthrough by families whose autistic children were impervious to all other treatments. Based on decades of scholarly research and personal experience, the ideas, suggestions, and recipes in this book will be a Godsend to many. 2004, paperback, 207 pages.
